Since this time it has become internationally recognised as one of New Zealand's major medical research organisations publishing innovative research in high impact international journals. The MRINZ enjoys strong collaborations within New Zealand and internationally. Its mission is to investigate the causes of important public health problems, to use this knowledge to improve the prevention and treatment of diseases, and to provide a base for specialist training in medical research.
