Upgraded into Taiwan Provincial Chiayi Junior College of AgricultureNational Chiayi Institute of Technology 1965 and then into National Chiayi Institute of Technology 1997. Acquired present status and title 2000, following merger with National Chiayi Teachers College (founded 1957).
