Founded as 2005 SIM University (UniSIM), a private university dedicated to adult learners. UniSIM was renamed as the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in 2017 and attained the status of Autonomous University
For all programmes, applicants must be a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or resident in Singapore, and have 2 years of work experience or be currently employed on a full-time basis, and be 21 years old and above. For undergraduate programmes, 2 GCE 'A' level passes (prior to 2006) or 2 H2 passes (post-2006), or a polytechnic diploma; Postgraduate programmes, an undergraduate degree or equivalent from a recognized institution; local polytechnic diploma (for selected programme)
